An All Star season that will forever be remembered by our players, coaches, families, and now also by all spectators at VFW Park. We have been awarded this banner for placing first. We will be getting the crew back together to sign before they place it on the outfield fence forever.

Congratulations to Maliah Redeaux for winning the tournament MVP! Maliah was consistent on offense ane defense through out all four tournaments. Sometimes her defense goes unnoticed because it is so smooth and almost expected, but today it was rewarded. It has been a pleasure seeing your game grow and that’s what happens when you love the game and the work put in to get better is fun! Keep it up girl. You are going places and csnt wait to see where.

Congratulations to Ellie for another great game at lead off providing a spark to our offense and a grand slam her next time around the lineup. Congratulations to Sawyer on turning that frown upside down (see pic after game one). She bounced back with two walk off hits to drive in key runs and took over defense at 2B to solidify our win to take us to the championship tomorrow.

Meet Avery Serna! #6, starting Shortstop, and this girl can flat out smash a softball! Thank God for face masks. No matter the situation, Avery has the power to drive the ball to left or right field as needed. Avery moved from 3B to SS and it was new, but she is becoming more comfortable and shifting as she anticipates where the ball will be hit. She doesn’t believe she is a leader, but she is as so many of her teammates look up to her and want to be like her. Almost daily, I have these conversations with her about what being a leader entails. She is a leader even though she may not realize it yet and will continue to grow as one. I know we will see great things from Avery on and off the field.

Meet Sawyer Schweiger! #3, Starting Rover and Utility. Sawyer is a driven athlete that always gives her all and it is a joy to watch. She consistently smashes the ball to whatever side of the field we ask her to in order to move runners. Her base running has improved so much that her singles and doubles are turning in to triples and home runs. Sawyer is a true team player as she plays wherever she is needed and is always cheering for her team. This girl will be lighting up scoreboards in multiple sports for years to come.
