Hello Tater Tot's!! Sorry for the delayed post from this past weekend but let's ketchup with what happened. It was race weekend #2 at the Midwest Lightning .25 Midget Series Regionals at CCQMA in Taylorville IL. We had a rough Saturday as in our World Formula race we broke our steering rod at the start of the race and couldn't get it fixed in time so no lap's were recorded for us in it. In 160 with not knowing any baseline from the World race we just ran with a conservative setup and managed to keep from finishing last. So with the features on Sunday we had the World dialed in. Starting last we knew we had a challenge ahead of us but we accepted. So after a few laps we started dicing our way thru the field and man was this one hot potato. About halfway thru the race we had ourselves in the 2nd spot and could see we were slowly gaining ground on the 1st place car. Then we come out of turn 2 and get into the loose marbles and bam we bounce the front end off the wall and bend the same steering rod we just replaced. Thru the rest of the race it was a job just fighting to keep the car from spinning out and finished in last place.(6th) So with that in mind we changed the gearing in the 160 and while it wasn't quite the rocket that the World was, it definitely was an improvement over Saturday and brought it home in 4th.
While we didn't have the best of weekends performance wise it was still awesome hanging out with everyone and just also relaxing as with it being a 2 day event you aren't rushing all the time.
Now its back to the home track for dirt points race #3. So if you are not doing anything come on out and see your favorite potato in action along with all of the awesome drivers at THQMA.

Looks like the rain may let us play today. Had a rough day yesterday, in World we broke a steering radius rod right at the green flag and despite multiple people helping us try and replace it we didn't get it done in time so didn't get one lap in. Now we start in 6th for the feature. In 160 we missed the gearing and finished 6th out of 7 so we start the feature in 6th as well. Today is gonna be fast and this tater is on a mission so I need all you tater tots to send us some good vibes!!!

Happy Monday my Tater Tot's!! Let's ketchup with what has happened recently.

First off I want to wish a belated Happy Mother's Day to you all out there. Wow what a long weekend it was. It all started Thursday with Archery Nationals in Louisville KY then Friday getting camp setup at the track for the Midwest Lighting Regionals at THQMA. The rains came Friday night into early Saturday morning which delayed us getting onto the track Saturday. We started 4th in Heavy World Formula in the Heat and 3rd in the 2nd Heat of Heavy 160. Both cars have just seemed to not drive well on the dirt and after both heats we managed to lock into starting spot 4 in both World and 160 classes which puts us mid pack. Now we decide to look at the ride heights and cross weights and find out we were way out of line so a nice group of people consisting of Tanner, Ashley, Stacia, Doug and Mama Tater stayed up till 2:30 am getting that figured out. It's all good though cause the drivers meeting started at 9am!! No rest for the wicked. The good news is that the car's are extremely awesome now to drive but we did not bother to mess with any of the gearing so we weren't able to chase a win down however we got 3rd in the 160 car out of 9 and and 5th in World out of 8th. Thanks again to those that have helped since my crew chief's been sidelined with his issues, if Thursday's procedure goes well he should be back this weekend!!! 🥰

Now just a little sad note to hit upon. This was probably our only race of the Regionals, with us running the Dirt National points the cost of Diesel is just too much for us to be able to do both. It is a little sad as this is my last year in the NASCAR Youth Series and it would be awesome to try an chase the points in it as well. If anyone knows of any sponsors or individuals that could possible assist us in still making this happen please reach out to us. For some that don't know there is no monetary value in racing in this series so it takes a lot of love from our sponsors and my parent's wallet to do this. So with that in mind please give my sponsor's the love and attention to them as they have been wonderful too us!!! Dirt points race #2 at THQMA is next weekend so that's where our focus goes to now. Sorry for the long post but I love letting my tot's know what's going on. Till next time, Tater Out!! 🥔
