We’re excited to bring the Purler Wrestling Camp to Gentry!

If your athlete wants to get better, this is the place to be. Wrestlers will get high-rep drilling, live wrestling, and the chance to train with athletes from all across the region.

📣 Parents of tiny tornadoes, living-room wrestlers, and couch climbers… this one’s for you!

If your kiddo is constantly perfecting the art of the sneak attack hug, tackling their siblings, or body-slamming the couch cushions—why not put those skills to good use? 💪🤼‍♂️

✨ GYO Tiny Takedown is back!
✅ Ages: Pre-K to 2nd grade (4–7 years old)
✅ 8 one-hour practices to build FUN + FOUNDATIONAL wrestling skills
✅ Just $50 (and yes, that includes a t-shirt!)

👉 No experience or sports gear needed—just bring the energy (we’ll help with the rest).

⚠️ Warning: Your child may start demonstrating takedowns on stuffed animals, pets, and/or unsuspecting grandparents. 😂

Last night we celebrated an incredible season at the GHS Wrestling Banquet, and what a night it was!

We had such a great time honoring both our male and female athletes who competed this season. The dedication, grit, and heart these kids showed on the mat all year long is something to be proud of. We are so proud of each and every one of them — not just for their wins, but for their growth, resilience, and commitment to this team.

While our athletes deserve all the recognition and praise for their hard work, we also want to shine a light on two very special coaches.

Coach Castro has taken this program from just 2 wrestlers to 25+ in only three years. That kind of growth doesn’t happen by accident — it happens because of leadership, vision, and relentless dedication. He absolutely has our vote for Coach of the Year!

Coach Watson has been such a fun and impactful addition this season as our Head Girls Coach and Assistant Boys Coach. His energy, enthusiasm, and heart for these athletes have made a difference you can see and feel.

We appreciate these coaches more than they will ever know, and Gentry is truly lucky to have them leading this program.

Lastly, a huge THANK YOU to our 2025–2026 sponsors. As a small but growing program, we simply could not have achieved the success we did or supported our athletes the way we have without you. Your support means everything to our team and our community.

Hailey has worked incredibly hard on and off the field, and we couldn’t be more excited to see her take the next step as an Eagle and continue her academic and athletic journey. Her dedication, leadership, and passion for the game make her an amazing representative of Gentry Pride!

🏆 What’s next at NWACC for Women’s Soccer?

The NWACC women’s soccer program is gearing up for its inaugural season in fall 2026, marking an exciting milestone for the college’s athletics offerings. The Eagles have recently brought on experienced coaches and are building a competitive squad ready to take the field and establish its legacy in collegiate soccer.

We know Hailey will bring her grit, skill, and heart to this new program — and we can’t wait to cheer her on as she soars at the next level! 💚⚽

🚨 STATE TOURNAMENT UPDATE 🚨

Day 2 of the Arkansas State Wrestling Tournament is HERE and we’re not done yet! We still have FOUR PIONEERS battling it out on the big stage at Jack Stephens Arena on the campus of University of Arkansas at Little Rock!

🔥 Atreyu Bank – 175 # will be wrestling for 1st place
🔥 Aidan Eller – HWT will be wrestling for 1st place
💪 Ben Martin – 106 # will be wrestling for 3rd place
💪 Aaron Ellis – 215 # will be wrestling for 3rd place

All the hard work, early mornings, late nights, and sacrifices have led to this moment. These boys have left everything on the mat and are still fighting.
