✨ The 8th Limb of Yoga: Samadhi ✨
If you’ve been following along with our series on the 8 Limbs of Yoga, we’ve reached the final limb: Samadhi.
Samadhi is often translated as enlightenment, but don’t let that word intimidate you.
It’s not something you achieve after one yoga class, one meditation session, or even one perfect downward dog. In fact, Samadhi isn’t really a destination you “arrive” at. It’s more like moments of deep peace, connection, clarity, and presence that develop through a lifetime of practice.
Many of us first discover yoga through asana (the physical poses), but traditional yoga offers a much bigger path. Each limb helps us build awareness, compassion, focus, and balance—both on and off the mat.
The beauty of Samadhi is that it reminds us that yoga is about more than touching our toes or mastering a pose. It’s about becoming more connected to ourselves, to others, and to the present moment.
So be patient with yourself. The goal isn’t perfection. The practice is the path.
And sometimes, in a quiet breath, a peaceful savasana, or a moment of gratitude, you may catch a glimpse of exactly what yoga has been guiding you toward all along. 💜
