The first annual Brody Hunt was incredible! 8 kids, 8 birds, lots of misses and mistakes made but all an amazing learning experience for these young hunters! I’m beyond proud of our crew in finding success and having the patience to teach as we hunted. Something that these kids will cherish for a long long time! We thank our sponsors and for getting the kids started with some gear and calls! Big thanks to The County Seat in Lyons for providing some delicious food for the event as well! With several other anonymous sponsors, we appreciate you all in supporting this event and giving us the ability to do this! We can’t wait to make this an annual event in memory of an awesome kid!

Last minute Kansas whitetail hunts! Very rare opportunity for anyone looking to book with us in Kansas to hunt this season as most of our hunts are booked way out! We have maintained an 83% success rate or better with a 155+ inch average or better over the last several seasons! We are a low pressure high success outfit that targets mature whitetails only!

Brody’s Hunt

This hunt is in remembrance of Brody Pflughoeft, his passion for the outdoors and the people he touched in our community will forever live on through this hunt. This hunt will be about learning, developing, and opening up a passion for a young man or woman to the outdoors. This will become the pinnacle to start off our spring season here at Phire Creek for as long as I am around. For the future of our local youth hunters and their families, I will carry the responsibility of getting them outdoors on my shoulders and make it a priority every turkey season. I hate that it took losing such a great friend like Brody, but I’ve come to realize that God does stuff to give us opportunity to grow closer to faith and become better human beings. I firmly believe this will become an event that means more about faith and being a better human, than the turkeys themselves. To anyone that would like to donated to this event, we greatly appreciate it and from the bottom of our hearts THANK YOU. Kansas 2026 Rio Grande Turkey Hunts (read entire post)

Dates Available:
April 21st-23rd open for 2 hunters
May 1st-3rd open for 1 hunter
May 5th-7th open for 2 hunters
May 8th-10th open for 4 hunters
May 12th-14th open for 2 hunters
May 15th-17th open for 5 hunters
May 19th-21st open for 4 hunters

We have private leases and hunt around 35,000+ acres in total

We are a 100% success over 9 seasons!

Terrain:
The lands changes a ton over a stretch of all our ground! Anywhere from big open fields with Creek bottoms going through it, to rolling pastures with cuts and tree rows!

Includes:
3 days of hunting and 3 days of lodging and meals! As well as transportation to and from the field each day!

Lodging:
We have a new 3,000 square foot lodge built in 2021! It has 6 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms! A large kitchen and living room! There’s a mud room with individual cubby storage for each hunter! Each bedroom has a queen size bed and each room also has its own thermostat!

What to expect:

Lots of driving and glassing!
Sometimes walking a good ways to get on the birds!
Usually an all day hunts until we get you tagged out!
We will stop throughout the day for lunch and stuff to snack on! (Guides will have coolers with water)
Lodge will have all you need besides any personal items!
