On Saturday morning we headed over to LeRoy with a load of ten kayaks for the competitors of the TRI the Oatka Triathlon. After a soggy start the weather cleared and our first involvement with this event went smoothly. Congratulations to all of those who competed!

If you are planning an event this summer you may want to consult this group first... The SUNY Geneseo Orientation Team had their second annual picnic at Long Point Park last Thursday, and it was a beauty! We were happy to help in the festivities by providing an assortment of kayaks, canoes and paddle boards. Ten water craft all together. A good time was had by all!

The students and staff from the Discovery Charter School in Greece picked the perfect day for their field trip outing to Hemlock Lake yesterday. We were glad to help by supplying six kayaks for their excursion. The students had their first ever paddling experience in one of our areas special places for nature lovers. They also hiked trails, spotted the resident bald eagles and listened to the quiet of the woods.

It's been a slow start for the 2015 summer season but we are up and running! Let's hope the worst of this seasons weather is behind us we all get a chance to enjoy some sun and fun on the water.
