Sunday Pistol Match Update

The Match Director has cancelled tomorrow’s .22 Pistol Match due to predicted winter weather conditions.

Please check back on the first Sunday in April for updates on the next scheduled match.

Saturday Rifle Match in 3 weeks Update

I am currently caring for a parent and, as a result, will be unable to conduct the March 22 Rifle Match scheduled for March 21st.

My sincere apologies for any inconvenience this may cause. Providing care and support to my parent at this important time in their life must be my priority.

Date of next Match - August 16th, 9AM start. We are switching it up a bit this month for the 22LR match. We are doing a field match crossed with hid and seek. Here is all you get until match day. Save the dates for future matches, September will be a team match (teams selected from top and bottom shooters of qualifiers) and season finale will be a night match in October.

Field Match Rules of Engagement
1. All targets are unknown distance (UKD) and will require shooter to range their own targets and calculate firing solutions. A common range finder will be provided by match director to shooters who do not have one.
2. There will be 3 target arrays (stages). Each stage has 5 targets, and all targets can be seen while standing on the ground or the elevated positions. Shooter will engage each target with two shots. Shooter may use the ground or the elevated position to engage but once they fire the first round they are committed to the ground or elevation, no switching in the middle of firing.
3. However, not all targets are clearly visible, some are painted with camouflage and some are painted black. Some are clearly visible with hi vis colors. Target array 1 and 2 will be ranged individually, and Target array 3 will be ranged by the entire group at the same time.
4. Distance targets will have hit lights on all targets.
5. No ranging allowed unless the shooter(s) is on the 10-minute clock. Shooter will have up to 10 minutes to range and calculate firing solutions. A one-minute warning will be given during 10 minutes. When time expires, the two-minute clock starts promptly thereafter.
6. Not all targets may be visible from a single position. No guarantee targets can be seen in prone positions on the ground. Shooter’s choice for building a firing position as long as it’s safe.
7. All shooters will stage on the west side of the Conex box. Bring chairs if you want a place to sit. Rotation to subsequent stages will be discussed at the beginning of the match.
8. Target boundaries will be discussed during each stage brief.
9. Expect ranges between 10 yards and 300 yards.
10. Magnified optical aids are highly encouraged to find the targets.

The MD will be out of town this Saturday returning home from a work trip. Match for June will be Sunday 9AM June 23, sighters at 8am.

There will be 9 stages with one target per stage. Barricade, size of target TBD based on weather condition on match date.

Range Maintenance Day...
