Check out this video of a challenge I participated in! Didn't win it but I had a lot of fun making the knife for the challenge and seeing all the awesome knives the other participants made! My knife shows up just after 5 minutes into the video I think lol

Patterns looking awesome after the etching process! Now to get this thing protected and get to work on the handle! Only got a couple days left to finish this unit.

Ok I couldn't wait to see how the pattern was looking so I did a quick test etch and it's looking so cool! Now I'll get to endure hours of hand sanding đŸ˜‘

Well I got the all the grinding I'm gonna do before I heat treat it done. It's about half the size I originally wanted but it'll still be pretty cool I think!

I'm doing a YouTube challenge! Got the blade material figured out, but still deciding on the handle! The blade is gonna be a San Mai construction made of 80crv2 as the core steel, a copper shim, then ladder Damascus cladding. Got a few things for the handle just haven't decided what I'm using yet. I got a piece of red maple burl, a piece of natural and black buckeye burl and some mammoth tooth. What do you think would look best with this combo? Making a hidden tang chefs knife for this challenge. I'm gonna attempt an integral bolster for the first time on this unit so wish me luck!

On the left is a knife I made for myself almost 2 years ago and it has been used and abused ever since. Hence the rust and scratches everywhere cuz I use my knives hard and don't take care of them the best lol. On the right is the knife I finished up yesterday to replace it. Pretty excited about the new one because it is made out of Pops Procut which is a brand new high carbon steel that is supposed to perform very well so I'm eager to see how it does.

My newest chef knife, forged from 80crv2 with a black and blue dyed and stabilized curly maple handle. This thing turned out sweet I think! It is available for purchase so let me know if you're interested in this one or a custom knife from me!
