We ran out of room on the post for all these two have accomplished in their volleyball careers —so here’s the condensed version.

Coach Annie played at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC). As a four-year outside hitter, she:
⭐️won 3 Southern Conference championships
⭐️made 2 NCAA Tournament appearances
⭐️hit a program-record 100 career victories

Post college Annie began her career as a science teacher and volleyball coach at Ringgold Middle and High.

With more than 25 years of club coaching experience, Annie has worked with NG Rage VBC, Cincinnati Attack Men’s VBC, and Anthem United VBC. She has been the 15-Navy Head Coach for the past 5 seasons. Her teams have consistently found success in tournament play including:
🥈2nd place at SRVA regionals
🏆Most recently, her 15-Agape team finished with a 66–22 record and 5th place finish at Regionals.

Annie’s favorite part of coaching is the lasting relationships she builds with her players. She considers her athletes family! As a breast cancer survivor, Annie is committed to living life to the fullest. She enjoys investing in young people, animals, adventures with family, and appreciating the beauty and majesty of God’s creation.

Kelsey Kirk Ikerd played collegiate volleyball at Shorter University where she accumulated 3 Academic All-American and All-Conference volleyball nods.

Ikerd continued her volleyball career as an assistant for 2 years and head coach for 10 years at her alma mater, Northwest. As the head coach, her teams recorded:
⭐️3 Region Runner-up finishes
⭐️3 Region championships
⭐️3 Sweet 16 State appearances
⭐️2 Elite 8 State appearances
⭐️1 Final Four appearance
⭐️1 State Championship appearance

She was named a 2x Region Coach of the Year, GA Volleyball Coaches Association 4A Coach of the Year, and received the AVCA 30 under 30 Coaches Award. She also holds the Northwest HS record for Most Wins in a Career with 292.

Coach Ikerd is a wife and mom to 4. She enjoys performing with her church’s worship team. We are excited to have her back after her successful year with 14-Redeemed last season.

We are very excited for the opportunity to share about Anthem’s upcoming season tomorrow night at our Parent Informational Meeting. While most the information will be similar to past seasons, there are a few changes that returning families may be want to hear.

📣Another incredible coaching Duo is thrilled to be back and together again for the 5th year in a row!! Welcome back Briley Considine and Destiny Cavin!📣

Coach Briley played volleyball all through middle and high school, including 3 years of club competition with Choo Choo City Volleyball Club in Chattanooga 🏐. She was a four-year varsity starter and area stand-out player at East Hamilton High School as a middle hitter, helping lead her team to the state tournament twice during her career 🏆.

During high school, she served as team captain from her sophomore through senior seasons, earning All-District and All-Region honors ⭐. She was also recognized as one of Chattanooga’s top defensive players her junior year, leading the Chattanooga area in blocks for the season 💪.

Coach Briley brings a deep passion for mentorship ✝️Coach Briley says, “my faith has grown stronger every year I’ve coached with Anthem & it’s been amazing to see all the ways the Lord impacts our coaches and players. I’m so excited to be a positive mentor to my players in their growth in Christ and the lessons they can take from this sport not only on the court but in their everyday lives.”

Destiny Cavin brings eight years of competitive playing experience and a deep passion for the game to the court. A standout athlete at Ringgold High School, Destiny played as a middle and right-side hitter, consistently leading her team in kills, blocks, and aces and earning 6-AAA All-Region honors during her senior season. 💪🏼She continued her athletic and academic journey at Chattanooga State on a volleyball scholarship, where she earned her degree in Exercise Science.

Destiny began her coaching career in 2022 with Anthem United—returning home after playing with AU for three seasons. Since then, she has successfully led both the 14-Red for one season and the 16-Red teams for the past three seasons. In addition to her work with Anthem, Destiny has come full circle as the JV volleyball coach at her alma mater, Ringgold High School. 💙She loves passing her knowledge, experience, and lifelong love for the game down to the next generation of athletes.

📣Welcome Back, Coach Ashley Clinton & Coach Avery Phillips! 📣

We are excited to welcome back this outstanding coaching duo for another season with Anthem United! Last year, Ashley and Avery led 17-Agape to an incredible season, highlighted by a 🏅 2nd Place Overall Finish at the SRVA Regional Championships, 🥈 three tournament runner-up finishes, and 🏆 two Silver Bracket Championships. Their passion for player development, high standards, and positive leadership make them a tremendous asset to our athletes and families.

🏐 Coach Ashley Clinton
Entering her 4th season of coaching and 3rd season with Anthem, Ashley brings over 12 years of playing experience at Heritage High School, Choo Choo City, C4, and Force Elite. A key member of Heritage High School’s varsity program in 2016-2018, Coach Ashley led as a setter and right-side hitter, where she recorded 1,000+ career assists and still holds Heritage’s record for most aces in a single set. Ashley has led 15U and 17U AU club teams and is returning for a second year to coach within the Heritage High School volleyball program.

🏐 Coach Avery Phillips
Entering her 2nd season with Anthem and 2nd season coaching at Heritage High School, Avery was a key contributor on Heritage’s historic 2020 GHSA Final Four team and helped lead the program to a Region Championship her senior year. Her impressive career included 1,179 assists, nearly 200 aces, and 300+ digs. Avery serves as a JV Head Coach and Varsity Assistant at Heritage for her second season and is dedicated to helping athletes grow in skill, confidence, and love for the game.

We are so excited about this next pairing!! 📣

Coach Kaitlyn Hasting’s love for volleyball began in 8th grade and she stills love to play locally! Coach Kaitlyn played Division 1 volleyball at the University of Georgia and the University of Alabama at Birmingham and started coaching before her college career even ended. She has coached for about 25 years spanning college camps, youth programs, club volleyball, MS and HS programs across Georgia, Colorado, and Alabama. One of her coaching highlights is winning the Colorado 5A State Championship in 2008. Last year was her first year coaching with Anthem United and she says she loved being able to not only coach strong fundamental skills and strategy, but also cultivate a love of the game and how to play the game out of gratitude to God!

Assisting Coach Hastings is former AU athlete: Gracie Rambo. Gracie has been one of our area’s standout players for years, known for her volleyball IQ, powerful swing, and ability to read the game at a high level. A four-year varsity contributor at Lafayette HS, she has played volleyball for nearly a decade, competing with CCVBC, A5 Chattanooga, and spending her final two club seasons at Anthem under Coaches Tori and Matt Malone, where she served as Team Captain both years.

Her impressive playing résumé includes:
⭐ 2x All-State Selection
⭐ 2x First Team All-Region
⭐ Second Team All-Region
⭐ 2x Walker County Dream Team Selection

This fall, Gracie will continue her volleyball career at Chattanooga State College. Gracie brings a genuine love for the game and a passion for investing in young athletes. We are thrilled for our players to learn from her knowledge and leadership as she begins her coaching journey with Anthem.

📣We know many families have been eagerly waiting for our 2026–27 coaching announcements, and we’re excited to begin sharing them throughout the week— beginning with our first coaching pair📣

A dynamite duo is returning for their second year together after an incredible season leading 14-Agape. We welcome back Rachel Priore and Josh Quinn as coaches of our top 15U team, 15-Agape. 🔥

Rachel Priore brings over 15 years of volleyball experience as both a player and coach. A standout athlete from South Elgin High School in Chicago, she earned All-Conference honors, Team MVP, and was a multi-sport captain while also competing club and beach volleyball with Club Fusion.

She went on to play Division II volleyball at California University of Pennsylvania, earning All-PSAC honors twice, All-Region recognition, and multiple academic awards while serving as team captain. A career-ending injury in college shifted her passion fully into coaching, where she discovered her calling to develop and mentor athletes.

Rachel has coached at the high school and collegiate levels, including at Christian Heritage School and Chattanooga State College the last two seasons. Coach Rachel joined Anthem in 2021 after prior club coaching experience. She is excited to return for her sixth season, continuing to invest in athletes on and off the court.

Josh is from Birmingham, Alabama, and played 4 years of club volleyball for the University of North Alabama as an Outside Hitter and Middle Blocker from 2016-2020. In 2020, he graduated from UNA with a Bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Systems. After graduation, Josh moved to Chattanooga to work and be close to family. Josh started his coaching career as an Assistant Coach at Grace Baptist in 2022. He continued on to coach for two years as an assistant coach at East Hamilton High School and is beginning his fifth year with Anthem United. He has previously coached the 17s, 14s, and 15s twice. Josh is excited to teach the athletes how to play their best volleyball and to live for Christ on and off the court.

Join us this upcoming Tuesday, June 23rd from 6-7:15 PM to learn all about Anthem Volleyball and gain information for Club Tryouts.

This is extremely helpful and highly encouraged for any new prospective families to hear what AU Volleyball is all about— returning families are always welcome as well. The meeting will be located at Christ Church Presbyterian (501 S Tibbs Rd, Dalton, GA).

Families will enter through the exterior doors located to the left of the main entrance, using the patio/coffee shop door. See you soon!

⚠️UPDATED TRYOUT INFORMATION⚠️

We wanted to update everyone that due to unforeseen circumstances with gym availability/coach conflicts, we have had to reschedule some Tryout details. Please see the graphic below for the updated information. 14U-15U will no longer be two days of Tryouts, instead we have extended the amount of time for that Tryout.

If the changes in anyway affect your athlete’s ability to attend Tryouts, please email [email protected] as soon as possible. All pre-registered families have received an e-mail with the correct and updated information. Thanks for your understanding. We are so excited to see you on the court soon!
