I found this and this is my belief so i had to use it.
“When we started our team, the goal was never to collect rings, chase stats, or slap our jersey on the most already talented team...
Our goal was to be different.
We didn’t believe in the culture that had taken over youth sports & travel ball. A culture that is very easy to get wrapped up in…
- The parent politics & favoritism
- The win at all costs mentality
- The fake try outs
- The “coaches” recruiting & poaching players, replacing them the moment they struggle
We just wanted our team to be the opposite of all that. ⬆️
To be for kids who were made to feel like maybe they weren’t good enough.
For families who were priced out or burned out by the pressure, politics & favoritism that dominates youth sports.
We wanted to prove that development & success don’t require humiliation from a coach or thousands of dollars from parents.
That winning should never come at the expense of your child’s confidence.
That it’s about creating a fun, supportive environment & letting kids be kids while they can.
Proof that you can do this & still get wins on the scoreboard. Even though that’s NOT what matters the most.
At this age, what matters most is teaching them how to be good teammates, how to work hard for what they want, how to support one another, and how to bounce back when things don’t go their way.
There are many ways to do travel ball nowadays & our way isn’t the only way. And the right people don’t all show up at once.
But over time?
THIS kind of team works. This type of team feels good to be apart of.
Because confident kids last longer.
Kids who feel supported by everyone take more risks.
Kids who aren’t afraid to fail actually grow.
Trophies fade.
Development stays”
