All summer long, people have asked how retirement was going and my answer was that it still just felt like I was off for the summer!
Well, today reality sets in😳
For 44 years, the Tuesday after Labor Day has meant back to work - back to the studio. (The only exception was in 1989 when I was 9 months pregnant waiting on Payton to arrive🤣)
My internal rhythm has been clicking the past few weeks pushing me into that ready mode. Today feels so different as I am facing learning new life rhythms and settling into “real” retirement!
It will continue to be a work in progress but I am thankful for the people and memories of the past, the tasks to accomplish today and a new calling God has on my life for the future ♥️
Blessed beyond measure 🙌

About 2 years ago, God brought Misty and Mike into our lives as renters. What we didn’t know was that they would become friends and a big piece of my retirement journey! God was making a way for me to exit gracefully and for Peak Physique of SWVA to have a permanent home. I’m excited to know this place that was so special to me will continue to be a blessing to our community! May God bring the joy to them through their service and the family they build as He did to me and my dance family💙

Peak Physique now has a PERMANANT home — and we couldn’t be more excited.
We have officially purchased the Jenkins School of Dance building, a place filled with history, passion, love, laughter and movement that has been a part of the Gate City community for over 4 decades. Now it becomes the foundation for our own community of strength, support, and tranformation opening the door to allow us to become bigger and stronger and a whole new era of growth.

This isn’t just a building. It’s our future — built on hard work, belief, and the people who show up every day ready to become their best selves, achieve optimal health and be at their peak performance!

Thank you for believing in us! The best is just beginning!! 💪❤️
