Think you’ve got what it takes to conquer Rankin Lake, Bradley Center, and Goat Island — all in one day? Come prove it at the Ironman Challenge, the ultimate disc golf endurance test. 💪

👬 Bring Your Own Partner (Don’t have one? We’ll match you up!)
Every course will have a unique doubles format to test all your skills:
🥏 Rankin – Alternating Drives, then Alternate Shot
🥏 Bradley – Cumulative Singles Score (both scores added)
🥏 Goat – Captain’s Choice with 9 drives required per player

💸 COST:
🔹 Ams – $90/team

THIS SUNDAY will be our 2025 Bag Tag Match and Board of Directors vote.

When: April 13, 2025
Time: 8:30am sign up, 9:00am players meeting, 9:30am start
Where: Bradley Center, 1200 Modena St. Gastonia, NC 28054

1 round for tags followed by a second round of scaffolded doubles.

$30 gets you an annual membership, bag tag and lunch! A portion of this will also payout a larger sum for the doubles match.

THIS SUNDAY will be our 2025 Bag Tag Match and Board of Directors vote.

When: March 16th, 2025
Time: 8:30am sign up, 9:00am players meeting, 9:30am start
Where: Rankin Lake, 1750 Rankin Lake Rd, Gastonia, NC 28052

Tournament central will be at shelters 10 and 11 (the two large shelters near the lake). There will be a lot more parking over there than near hole 1.

Nominations are now open for the 2025 Board of Directors for G Town Disc Golf Club!

Please nominate a G Town DGC member (you can nominate yourself too) if you believe they will make an impact on our disc golf community, continue to carry the torch, and work with Gaston County Parks and Recreation to restore and grow the courses in our area.

This form will remain open until March 16, 2025 when our annual Bag Tag Match will take place at Rankin Lake. Each new club member at the bag tag will get to vote for the new board - but only those nominated by YOU. The club will announce who is nominated and ask if they accept or reject the nomination.

If you want to nominate multiple people, you can submit the form as many times as you like.

Big shoutout and appreciation post to Spencer Schaible, Adam Iscrupe, Michael Petersohn, and Jeremy Monroe for spending their Saturday morning helping clean up a huge tree that had fallen on hole 8 at Goat Island.

Cramerton Parks and Recreation did us a huge favor by cutting up parts of the tree earlier this week.

With a fresh cut of the fairways later this week, it will be looking good for the Circuit Challenge hosted by Disc Traderz next Saturday (weather permitted)!

Thanks to those who have already signed up for our circuit challenge at goat island on September 7th!

I’ll need to order the discs from MVP by Tuesday to make sure they are delivered in time for the event; go get signed up soon if you plan on playing, or just want to reserve the 3 awesome MVP discs in the prize pack at a great price!
