Ok.... Just over 2 weeks done and We're in Phase 3 of the Ultimate Reset. It hasn't been easy all the time. I had a band event last week that included a free buffet with all kinds of great foods that aren't on the plan but I stayed true. The food is really good. I like just about everything we've eaten I just miss some other foods that I love. In the reset there is no meat or dairy after week 1. So I've been pretty much vegan for over a week. (Something I don't plan to continue after the 3 weeks :)) That being said, We will be continuing to have the additional veggies in our diet and reducing the times we have the pasta or other starches.

Results wise, We both feel great and plenty of energy. In addition, I have lost 13 pounds and Sally has lost over 5 pounds. Not bad for 2 weeks and zero exercise (Other than walking the dog and playing some football with Heston).

Is it easy? No. Mainly because it is hard to follow an exact menu and fix all of your meals on a super busy schedule. Do I have any regrets? No. Overall it has been really good and we have added some additional foods that we will eat after this is done. Am I Hungry? No. There have only been a few times when I've gotten hungry. When I did I ate a snack. We have had one side effect. There are a lot of Beans in the plan.... So we've both had quite a bit of gas...lol. I know TMI... Just trying to keep it real.

So, Sally and I decided to do the Beachbody Ultimate Reset and started on Wednesday of this week. It's a 21 day program to cleanse your body and reset your system. It is a very strict program and you follow their menu as close as possible. We both had been pretty bad with our eating and exercise lately. All those Sugar and bad food cravings were back in full force. We thought this is the perfect time to refresh ourselves before the holiday season.

So here is how it has gone so far. Of course the first few days are always the hardest to get through but we are past them. Day one was really hard for me because I was coming off of my daily coffee/caffeine (plus I had eaten some Halloween chocolate since last weekend). So Wednesday evening I had a MAJOR Caffeine withdraw headache. It's amazing how your body becomes addicted to things like caffeine. Thursday was no problem and we both felt really good. Friday afternoon we both got a little hungry but made it through to dinner. Over all I haven't been real hungry, so far. The biggest news is the weight results this morning. After 3 days of the strict plan I am down 5-1/2 pounds and Sally is down 3 pounds. Not bad for 3 days. You only do mild exercise (walking etc) when on the reset. So we will start that back up at the end of the 3 weeks.

It's so good to see this on the back of a box of cereal. This is Aldi Brand Fruit Loops. Yes it's still full of sugar etc but removing the artificial colors is Huge! Especially having a child that has a very strong reaction to Red 40 Dye.
