🌊 HOW HIGH WILL IT GO? 🌊
Tomorrow at the car show, Gaston Youth Sports is kicking off our new Flood Gauge Fundraiser!
If you’ve seen our fields in the winter, you know the water can get a little… ambitious. 😅 So we’re putting it to good use!
🎟️ Tickets are $10 each
📏 Pick your flood-level range
☕ The winning range gets a $100 Scoggins Creek Coffee Shop gift card
📅 We’ll track the highest recorded flood level through April 30
Once a range is claimed, it’s gone - so come pick your spot early!
And while you’re there, grab a snow cone and enjoy the car show. 🍧🚗
Every ticket and snow cone helps support Gaston Youth Sports and keeps local kids playing.

STATE RUNNER-UP! 🥈⚾💚💛

What an incredible weekend for our Gaston Junior National Greyhounds!

This group showed exactly what it means to wear “Gaston” across their chest. They opened the state tournament with a 14-5 victory over Corbett, before running into a tough St. Paul team and dropping into the loser’s bracket, 10-6.

From there, these boys refused to quit.

🔥 Defeated Stayton 16-6
🔥 Beat Corbett again 11-8
🔥 Earned a long-awaited victory over Amity 13-9

That remarkable run punched their ticket back to the Championship Game for a rematch with St. Paul.

With pitch count limitations forcing us to lean on every available arm, our Greyhounds came out swinging and built an early lead. Eventually the depth of St. Paul’s pitching staff took over, and Gaston came up just short, 17-13.

The final result? 2nd Place in the State out of 86 JBO Junior National teams across all three districts.

While the trophy says Runner-Up, these players proved they’re champions in heart, grit, and determination. Their resilience, teamwork, and never-give-up attitude made our community incredibly proud.

Congratulations to every player, coach, and family who made this unforgettable season possible. Thank you for representing Gaston with class every step of the way.

Community we need your help!!! Sometime last night 6/28 at 9:00pm and this morning 6/29 at 7:00am the four wheeler and drag that we use to make our fields look as pretty as they do, was stolen from the baseball fields. If anyone has seen these items or know where they are located please let us know, Thank you! This is a huge disappointment and it is hard to do what we do without the required equipment.
