PSA: In light of recent complaints of the Majors Softball Field being locked, this is why. Intense maintenance had been scheduled due to the high rainfall we’ve endured this spring and the constant digging of holes by kids when games were not being played. With our upcoming tournament, we need our field to be safe for all players. Please be respectful and allow the city to get the job done for the safety of the girls.

🚨Side note: It was not the city or city workers who locked the field. Our league took the initiative to do this because of the field maintenance. With six other fields out at the park to use at anytime, there is plenty of space to use!

👍🏻Thanks for your understanding and cooperation while we make this improvement to the field for the girls and their safety!

Please come out Friday night, May 1st @ 6:00pm as Garrett Youth Softball kicks off their season with the Janet Baldy Zieder Memorial Pre Season Tournament. Fire trucks will es**rt the players through town and the tournament will kick off with a moment of silence for Baldy as we remember her and honor her for her contributions to Garrett Youth Softball.
We will be offering pork burger fundraising meals in the concessions stand as well.
The action will continue Saturday, May 2nd as DeKalb county teams battle it out to see who walks away with the rings.
