Took me awhile but now that the season officially closed I wanted to highlight some of my favorite moments of the week these girls had at nationals!! So proud of these young ladies and can’t wait to see what the future holds for them all!! Thank you ladies for a fantastic week/season!!
The week was filled with so many unforgettable moments—hard hit singles, clutch doubles, perfectly placed bunts, and quality at-bats that kept innings alive… I saw smart baserunning, stolen bases, sacrifices, and players doing whatever the team needed to create scoring opportunities…
On defense we made incredible plays that changed games… Diving catches, backhand stops, double plays and the routine plays made under pressure all showed how much work they put in… Every out mattered…
Our pitchers battled every inning of every game… There were strikeouts when we needed them most, ground balls, pop-ups, innings worked out of tough situations, and the confidence to keep fighting… Our catchers led behind the plate and sacrificed their bodies at times to block tough pitches…
Most importantly, We celebrated together, picked each other up after tough moments, and never stopped competing…
What I’ll remember most isn’t just the statistics, it’s the heart they played with… The growth they showed… I saw teammates encouraging one another, players stepping up at different moments and a group that truly cared about each other….
Thank you for your effort, your commitment, and your belief in one another all season long. You represented yourselves, your families, and this program with pride. Keep working and keep believing in yourselves!! The memories we’ve made and the lessons we’ve learned will stay with us forever…
