I would like to take a quick second to thank & for thinking of me when it came to the Rockland Read-In this year.

I chose "Sammy the Good Sport" which was a book that teaches young children what it actually means to be a good sport.

We are not always correct & we are not always wrong.

We are not always winners & we are not always losers.

What is important is how we respond to those situations when they occur.

My Father always told me "Never get too high & never get to low" and it will stay with me forever. Im not always the best at it, it has allowed me to bounce back whenever things don't go my way.

My hope is that at least one of these kids will remember this lesson.

Here's to many more "side missions".

The reality is hitting harder than ever.

Due to federal food cuts, Hudson Valley families — right here in our own Rockland community — are losing thousands of meals they rely on.

[According to Lohud News], Rockland’s largest food pantry, People to People, is seeing grocery deliveries dry up after 27 tractor-trailers of food were canceled this year.

Shelves are going empty. Families, seniors, veterans, and kids are being left without the basics.

Sometimes, it feels like one person can't make a difference.

But when we move together as a community, our impact becomes unstoppable.

We move better when we move together.
