On June 1st, we will stand before City Council with the hope of acquiring the historic Downtown Central Fire Station so we can restore it, preserve it, and activate it for the next generation of Garland.
For nearly 17 years, our gym has been more than a place to work out. We have watched people find healing after loss, confidence after years of insecurity, friendships that turned into marriages, support during addiction recovery, belonging after isolation, and safety in one of the hardest seasons of their lives.
Yes, we create economic impact downtown. Hundreds of people move through our doors every week. They eat here, shop here, grab coffee here, bring their families here, and spend time in Downtown Garland because of the community that has been built here.
But the bigger impact has always been the ripple effect.
Kids growing up around healthier parents.
People learning how to believe in themselves again.
Neighbors becoming friends.
People staying in Garland because they found connection here.
We are not trying to create a place for abs.
We are trying to continue building a place for Garland.
We would love the support of the community as we pursue the opportunity to breathe life back into one of downtown’s most historic buildings and continue creating something that serves people far beyond fitness.
