Good morning all,
After a good night's sleep I sit here reflecting on a spectacular weekend.
I built this race sled knowing that I had found a gem that had a previous race history.
This past weekend I got the honor of meeting the original owner, Lendell Buckingham.
Now mind you I had only ever raced once in my life on a snowmobile, let alone build one from the ground up. I qualified in 3 different classes, improved stock 600, pro stock 600 and improved stock 700.
I got knocked down by some amazing sleds but I stayed competitive.
I ended up placing in the semifinals of the pro stock 600 class but due to my eagerness to win I jumped the light and my competitor took the win in the finals.
I like to thank all of the staff at BIG WOODS GRASS DRAGS for a great event.
Now, to the people who helped me get to where I am.
First off my wife, Lanie for putting up with me.
Next, to the man who spent countless hours with me,
Rusty Scott of Bridge Street Garage Racing you sir have been the backbone of this build.
Glen Niewola of Niewola Power sports
David Kilmer for the track and the cool down tank, it worked perfectly.
Nick Mills for your repeated words of wisdom
Brad Staples for letting me use his test track.
Brian Monahan of CBR Powersportsfor his advice and guidance
Chris Chambers for his repeated words of encouragement
I'm sure I'm forgetting to mention some people.
But I thank you all
