Hi to our wonderful Oakridge/Garland community. We would like to say THANK YOU for all the prayers and kind words of support through this difficult time. We are sorry this update has taken a couple days to post. We are still in disbelief the clubhouse is completely gone and how close we were to losing our lives.

Elisha and I woke up at 3:12am at the clubhouse to a horrific scene. We heard clicking and very faint sound of an alarm. Next thing we knew, the power went out and the room filled with a smell of burning plastic and smoke. We grabbed our dog and ran for our lives (Sorry to the neighbors that may have seen us running naked on camera). We opened the side door to get out and soon realized how lucky we were. The tool room was completely engulfed in flames. Seconds later, the roof started to cave in. Waiting for the fire department was the longest 10 minutes of my life. Watching all the hard work, time, and money we have put into my dream engulfed in flames and crashing down. As many of you already know, we have put all profits back into improving the course and clubhouse. We had bids to install 2 patio doors and create a open patio with fire pits. The wedding venue was scheduled to open in the spring, and the restaurant was in the works. We already had the commercial equipment, and the list goes on and on. All projects were focused on giving the community a place to enjoy and relax.

With the grace of God and our amazing community, we are moving forward and plan to fully rebuild. Even though we could never rebuild the beautiful 12k sq ft clubhouse, we will build an amazing place for all of you to enjoy and use. This is our baby, home, and are here to stay. We plan to reopen tomorrow, 11/27/22. It may look different for awhile. Thank you in advance for all your continued support!
