Today wrapped up the 2024-25 swim season with the Boys state meet at Phillips Academy in Andover.

After being pushed back a week due to weather, the boys stepped up and had a fantastic end to the season.

Our first boys relay in many years finished 18th with a 7th grader and 3 seniors - Owen, Jacob, Alex, and James!

Jacob became Gardners first state champion in 10 years by winning the 50 freestyle in a time of 21.39!

Jacob also competed in the 100 breaststroke finishing 18th in a season best time!

Alex finished 17th in the 100 backstroke with a season best time as well!!

So proud of everything they achieved and accomplished today and throughout the season!!

400 freestyle relay (Isabelle, Whitney, Ella, Elise). -14th
Elise - 200 freestyle 8th, 500 freestyle 16th
Ella - 100 breaststroke 3rd
Isabelle - 100 backstroke 14th

Congratulations to our swimmers who competed yesterday at the Central/West Sectional meet! 🏊🏼‍♀️🏊🏻‍♂️🧡🖤

Girls highlights - 14th place overall

Ella - 1st in 100 breaststroke and 4th in 100 butterfly
Elise - 7th in 200 freestyle and 8th in 500 freestyle

200 medley relay - 16th place (Elise, Ella, Julia, Whitney)
400 free relay - 13th place (Whitney, Gracie, Ella, Elise)
200 free relay- 21st (Gracie, Julia, Savannah, Whitney)

Boys highlights- 10th place overall

Jacob - 2nd in 50 freestyle and 7th in 100 freestyle
Alex - 8th in 100 butterfly and 9th in 100 backstroke with a new state qualifying time!!
Owen - 20th in 100 butterfly and 22nd in 100 backstroke
200 medley relay - 6th and a state qualifying time!! (Owen, Jacob, Alex, James)
200 free relay- 8th (Owen, James, Alex, James)

Next week we head to BU for states!
