My New Paltz rock climbing summer camp is the only camp in the region run by a PCGI certified climbing guide. I am the most experienced PCGI instructor with the more then 30 years rock climbing and 26years guiding without a single accident. If you book your climbing camp with me I will be your host and guide, and not a college student working a part time summer job. My camps are designed to give participants a full-emersion rock climbing experience. To that end, I have refined my programs over the years to have the perfect mix of instruction and climbing time on the rock every day, mixed in with some fun evening activities. Campers leave my camps as more confident climbers and have a sense of independence and accomplishment that frequently compels them to return year after year to refine their skills and enjoy climbing in the beautiful cliffs that surround us. My camps are based in the High falls New york minutes to the base of the Shawangunks.


We climb during the day then camp at the my home campground which have running water, , and restrooms.
My Climber Camps focus on the climber with little or no previous trad climbing experience. I have campers who come from all over the country to experience single and multi-pitch trad climbing in
Gunks. Campers learn all aspects of climbing and have a host of new adventures!

These programs are small, [limited to four per cycle} personal camps where you can meet lifelong friends and climb amazing rock in a wonderful setting.
Each camper will have their own tent wear a face mask and stay separated when possible. We will have hand sanitier available whenever needed. This year we will also explore Peterskill . It is a smaller cliff but set up perfectly for setting up top ropes and allows a great opportunity to learn top rope set ups.
