AGENCY SPOTLIGHT

When we train law enforcement, our goal isn't just to help with one operation.

Our goal is to train agencies to continue combatting child exploitation and human trafficking long after the training ends.

One great example is Sheriff Joshua McLaughlin and the Limestone County Sheriff's Office through The Millstone Project.

After CRG trained and assisted the agency during an operation in 2024, the Limestone County Sheriff's Office continued the mission. Since launching The Millstone Project, their team has conducted child exploitation investigations and operations that have led to dozens of arrests of suspected predators.

This is why we do what we do.

Together, we're creating a force multiplier in the fight against child exploitation and human trafficking.

Thank you to Sheriff Joshua McLaughlin and the Limestone County Sheriff's Office for your commitment to protecting children and pursuing those who seek to harm them.

We recently provided training and assisted in an anti-human trafficking and child exploitation operation with Enterprise PD in Enterprise, Alabama.

This operation resulted in the arrest of six individuals all charged with multiple felonies including human trafficking in the 1st degree. This operation reflects the continued commitment of local agencies to protect the most vulnerable in their communities.

Our role remains the same in every operation:
providing training, operational support and resources alongside our law enforcement partners.

Real training
Real operations.
Real arrests.
Real impact.

Every operation we support is at zero cost to the agency.
Every training we provide is fully funded by people who want to see evil confronted.

This is the result of strong partnerships, preparation, and a shared mission to pursue justice.

Thank you to the Enterprise Police Department and all agencies involved for their leadership and dedication to fighting human trafficking and child exploitation.

The results:
11 arrests.
37 warrants issued.
3 ICE detainers.
1 parole violation.

Additional charges are still pending as the investigation continues.

Operations like this are the result of preparation, coordination, and a shared commitment to confronting exploitation and trafficking head-on. We’re grateful for the partnership and leadership of the Greenville Police Department and SLED in executing this operation.

This is what it looks like when agencies work together and take action.

CARRILLO-BECERRA SENTENCED IN CHILD EXPLOITATION CASE

On December 8, 2025, Ricardo Carrillo-Becerra, 38, of Fort Payne, entered a blind guilty plea to Traveling to Meet a Child for an Unlawful S*x Act. A blind plea means there was no agreement with the District Attorney’s Office regarding sentencing. The case was prosecuted by District Attorney Jennifer Bray. Because this offense is a Class A felony, Carrillo-Becerra faced a sentencing range of 10 years to 99 years or life in prison.

This morning, Circuit Judge Matt Elliott sentenced Carrillo-Becerra to 20 years, split to serve four years in the Alabama Department of Corrections, followed by probation.

Carrillo-Becerra’s conviction stems from a proactive sting operation conducted by the Albertville Police Department in partnership with the Covenant Rescue Group, the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, and the Marshall County Drug Unit. During the operation, Carrillo-Becerra communicated with an individual he believed to be a 15-year-old girl and agreed to meet her for s*xual acts in exchange for money. He made a full confession at the time of his arrest.

District Attorney Bray emphasized that cases involving the exploitation of children remain a top priority and praised the coordinated efforts of the Albertville-AL Police Department, Covenant Rescue Group, the Marshall County Sheriff's Office, and the Marshall County Drug Unit in this operation.

🚨 5 ARRESTED • 24 FELONY CHARGES IN ALABAMA CHILD EXPLOITATION AND TRAFFICKING OPERATION 🚨

Five individuals were arrested and 24 felony charges were filed, including 12 counts of Human Trafficking in the First Degree, following an undercover child exploitation and trafficking operation in Wedowee, Alabama last week.

The operation targeted individuals who used online platforms to communicate with what they believed were minors before arranging to meet in person.

Each suspect traveled expecting to meet a minor for s*xual activity and was taken into custody upon arrival.

Additional charges include Electronic Solicitation of a Child and Traveling to Meet a Child for an Unlawful S*x Act.

This operation was conducted by the Wedowee Police Department with assistance from the Randolph County Sheriff's Office, Chambers County Sheriff's Office, Cleburne County Sheriff's Office, Wadley Police Department, prosecutors from the Alabama 5th Judicial Circuit District Attorney's Office, and Covenant Rescue Group.

Operations like this are an important part of protecting children and identifying individuals who attempt to exploit or traffic minors through online platforms.

We remain committed to supporting law enforcement agencies in their efforts to combat child exploitation and human trafficking.

The only way to stop this evil is to face it head on.

They showed up expecting a minor.
They left in handcuffs.

We recently partnered with the Cullman Police Department and the Cullman County District Attorney’s Office in an operation in Cullman, Alabama.

Five suspects were arrested and now face multiple felony charges, including human trafficking.

Predators depend on secrecy.
They depend on access.
They depend on no one fighting back.

THEY WERE WRONG.

Thanks to the Cullman PD and Cullman DA Champ Crocker for being proactive in protecting their communities from predators.
