With record breaking high temperatures predicted for the next few days, has opened a , today (3/17) - Friday (3/19), at the Garden Grove Sports & Recreation Center (13641 Deodara Dr), from 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM. For more information, go to ggcity.org/cooling-center.

H. Louis Lake Senior Center (11300 Stanford Ave) well extend their hours from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM during the same days, for seniors only.

💧 Stay hydrated and drink plenty of fluids.
☀️ Avoid outdoor activity when the sun’s rays are strongest.
🧴 If you must go outside, apply sunscreen.
👕 Wear lightweight, light-colored, loose-fitting clothing. If you have a hat, wear it to protect your face from the sun.

will be offering a CPR/AED/1st Aid class on February 21, 2026 from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

Cost for the class is $55.00. Seating is limited. To reserve your spot and receive class location, email us at [email protected]. Registration will be taken on a first come basis and payment must be received by February 21, 2026.

It’s National Day. members will recognize this as an important element of Chapter 8.

For those who have not gone through our CERT Academy, we are still residents of and play an important role in keeping our diverse community safe. We encourage everyone to be vigilant and immediately report ANY suspicious activity or events to law enforcement.

Here are some examples of suspicious activity. For emergencies, you can call or text 9-1-1; for non-emergencies, please call police dispatch at 714-741-5704. You can also save that number in your phone for faster dialing. Other ways to report suspicious activities:

Today, we honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost in a horrific attack on America.

People do not die, until they are forgotten. We remember every one of you. Especially the men and women who ran to answer a cry for help, and made the ultimate sacrifice.
