This is cool, but why didn’t they use a picture of a channel, blue or flathead catfish , not a redtail cat found in the Amazon and its tributaries ?

Whether it’s pulled from a river, raised on a farm or served at a favorite local restaurant, catfish has long been part of Alabama life.

Now, state tourism officials are hoping to turn that tradition into a travel experience with the launch of the Alabama Catfish Trail, a new statewide initiative featuring more than 50 waterways, restaurants, markets, and other destinations connected to Alabama’s catfish culture.

Yes blue cats love “Whisker Links “ too ! Come get yours at the Shiner Shack ! These blues came from the Town Creek area of Guntersville. Fished on a “ Seeker” or “ Carolina Rig” in 8 feet of water. We also have fresh frozen shad and other great catfish bait. Shout out to Randy Thill for the picture . Congrats on the catch.

A few nice channel cats that Shiner Shack OG and I caught on Strawberry Whisker Links . The cats love these things ! Come in to the Shiner Shack and get you some.

The crappie are still biting on Guntersville. Come on and see us at the Shiner Shack and get ready to catch some of the tasty fish on “ Big G.”

Got a few bream and shellcracker before the storm ran me off. Left them still biting. Red worms on two pound test line with no weight was the only way I could get them to eat.
