The New York Dancesport Challenge was a weekend filled with excitement, achievement, unforgettable performances, and moments that made us incredibly proud to be part of the Fred Astaire Dance Studio of Garden City family. ❤️

Our students and staff represented our studio with confidence, elegance, determination, and heart, and their hard work truly shined on the competition floor.

Here are just a few of the many highlights from an incredible weekend:

🌟 Nathaniel and Alice were named Top Youth Students of the Competition!

🌟 Eugene was recognized as the Number 4 Top Teacher of the event!

🥈 Loretto earned 2nd Place in her Open Rhythm Category

🥇 Alice earned 1st Place in her Rhythm Category

🥇 Nathaniel earned 1st Place in his Rhythm Category

🥇 Irene & Gary earned 1st Place in their Amateur Rhythm Category

These accomplishments are a reflection of the dedication, courage, and passion our students bring to every lesson and every opportunity to dance. While we are thrilled to celebrate these outstanding results, we are equally proud of the growth, confidence, sportsmanship, and joy displayed by every member of Team Garden City throughout the weekend.

The New York Dancesport Challenge Inter-Regional Competition begins tomorrow, and we are so excited to cheer on our incredible Garden City team as they take the floor! 💃🕺🏆

Representing Fred Astaire Dance Studio Garden City this year are our wonderful returning competitors:

For the first time ever, this prestigious competition is being held right here on Long Island, and we could not be more excited! Our students have been working tirelessly for months, and we are so proud to have several dancers representing Fred Astaire Dance Studio of Garden City on the competition floor. We are so grateful for the time, energy, and passion he brought while working with a couple of our students and creating a few fun and exciting choreographies. The inspiration, growth, and excitement in the studio was truly amazing to watch.
