Today we had the opportunity to donate 108 bears from the teddy bear toss to Stony Brook Children’s with Ethan Sweeney who scored the first goal during the youth game and Chris Cosentino Executive Director Theodore Roosevelt Association. Thank you for everyone who participated during the Summer Shootout. Tomorrow we will be donating a whole car full of food and supplies to Long Island Cares.

🏒 The Countdown Is On! 🏒

The 6th Annual Long Island Warriors Summer Shootout begins this Friday at Northwell Health Ice Center, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone for an incredible weekend of hockey, community, and giving back!

Friday, 7 August
🕑 2:00 PM

🧸 Teddy Bear Toss
Saturday, 8 August, during the 3:00 PM Youth Game
After the first goal, throw your teddy bear onto the ice! All bears collected will be donated to Stony Brook Children’s Hospital, helping bring smiles to children in our community.

This is a FREE, family-friendly event, and everyone is welcome! Come cheer on military veterans, active-duty service members, first responders, and youth players from across the region.

We’re also proud to partner with Long Island Cares throughout the tournament. If you’re attending, please consider bringing a non-perishable food donation to help support local families in need.

Have you ever wanted to throw a teddy bear onto the ice?

Now’s your chance!

Join us on Saturday, August 8 at 3:00 PM at Northwell Health Ice Center for our Teddy Bear Toss during the Youth Game.

We’re proud to partner with the Theodore Roosevelt Association for this special event. Purchase a teddy bear at the rink, and when the first goal is scored, toss it onto the ice! After the game, every teddy bear will be donated to Stony Brook Children’s Hospital to help bring smiles to children in need.

Mark your calendars for our 6th Annual Summer Shootout August 7th-9th!!! Come out and support your Veterans and first responders. The weekend is open to the public and free to come check out some amazing hockey. This year we will also have two youth hockey games. These players have family members from the military or are first responders. We will also be collecting food donations for Long Island Cares to help families in need. Please bring any food donations during the weekend. Thank you to New York Islanders Miller & Caggiano, LLP and American Legion Post 1082 for your continued support to make this weekend happen.
