Great trip back to Galveston, and while the man in the blue suit didn’t show up everyone else on the block sure did!! Fished the FAD’s along with some offshore structure, tied up at Stetson overnight before chugging out to the Intersect Rigs to try to get a billfish bite. Headed back mid morning and threw in some snapper for good measure. Beautiful weather all the way! Thanks to Captain Sean Welsh for putting up with our antics and getting us home safe. Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

Back on the move this morning, making a two hour move before sunrise. Beautiful evening and great night tied up at Stetson, weather has been fantastic! Did some fun fishing yesterday, catching some dorado and cut off by a wahoo at the boat. Gonna spend the first couple of hours looking for a billfish, then see if we can bust a big Amberjack, get our snapper then take her home to Galveston. Hope everyone is enjoying Labor Day weekend!

Rolling out of Port Aransas, Texas after our two month summer season. Going to spend next couple of days fishing our way back to Galveston. Always a little sad to leave, the folks at Fisherman's Wharf, Virginias on the Bay, and all the boat owners and crew are always so hospitable. Thanks once again for sharing your piece of paradise with us!

Where it all started 9 years ago today! Since then we have fished dozens of tournaments from Texas to Florida! While we have not won the most money of anyone, I am willing to bet we had more fun than anyone! Great group of friends who show up and fish hard! Have made tons of friends along the way, and learned a lot about fishing from the best in the game. The ancient YouTube video from that tournament is included in the comments. Feels like it was 30 years ago!

Brett Graham of Galveston, center, holds his 44.1-pound wahoo caught off the boat, A-TEAM, during the Texas Legends Billfish Tournament on Saturday, Aug. 8. This angler and his catch were among the many competitors who took part in the Port Aransas tournament, held Aug. 5 through 9. Full tournament results will be in the next edition of the South Jetty.

Super fun weekend of fishing at the Texas Legends Billfish Tournament in Port Aransas, Texas! Fishing against the best of the best, it’s always awesome to pick up some hardware and get a check! The crew worked hard and kept grinding, and as it sometimes is the case you never know where a payout might come from. For us it was a 44.1 lb wahoo, and turned out to be the only wahoo in the tournament that made the weight minimum! Always great to see everyone and congrats to SEE-MAH on the big win!

More to come but the A-Team made a sweep of the wahoo pots with the only wahoo big enough to be weighed in the tournament! Congrats to See-mah on the big win!
