Today I started making the brackets to install some steps.

Since they dont make anything for this van that I like i decided to make my own. A buddy of mine sourced an old set of steps from his work that had been thrown in the junk pile. I removed the steps I will be using and building brackets.

Once done they will be sent off to get blasted and powdercoated.

These 2 are for the rear side of the step. The front ones will have a little different configuration.

Manual locks are out and new power lock actuators installed. .

The next morning after the storm in Ogallala.

We woke up to a nice calm sunny morning. Made coffee. Watched the birds. Loaded up and started our drive.

I didn't air down comming in. That night it rained so I thunk to my self that the sand would be wet enough for me to not have to air down.

WRONG!

It wasn't that bad.

My other half just quickly removed some sand from behind the left rear tires and we were out and on our way.

Traveling back home on I 80.

As usual.

Per my better halfs request we stayed the night at the best lake in Nebraska.
Yes, you guessed it. Lake Mac near Ogallala Nebraska.
We planned to get there and fry some catfish, but as soon as we got there. Mother nature had other plans.
It poured on us. The wind was so hard it was rocking the van.

Good times.

On the video I called them hubs but they are actually referred to as swivels. Well, at least in the web site I found them at.

If anyone knows of a source for these swivels in the US, please let is know.

All have been able to find is units for semi trucks but those are too large.
