SEATED HAMSTRING CURL

The seated hamstring curl is widely considered superior for muscle hypertrophy because the seated position places the hips in flexion. This stretches the hamstrings from the top, allowing for a deeper, more profound stretch than traditional lying leg curls and greater overall mechanical tension.

How to Optimize Your Form
♦️Adjust the Pad: Place the lower pad just above the heels (on the Achilles tendon, not directly on the meat of the calves) to maximize your range of motion.
♦️Lock Yourself In: Secure the upper quad/thigh pad snugly against your legs to anchor your hips firmly into the seat so you do not use momentum.
♦️Control the Eccentric: Lower the weight slowly over 3-4 seconds, focusing on getting a deep stretch at the top of the movement.
♦️Toes Neutral: Keep your toes in a neutral position or slightly dorsiflexed (pulled upward) to better bias the hamstrings.

♦️Advanced Technique
If you want to maximize the stretch even further, hinge slightly at the hips and lean your torso forward while gripping the handles. This mimics the stretched position of a Romanian deadlift and places the hamstring under an extreme stretch, though you should ensure you don't round your lower back.

We are excited to bring you this new summer schedule beginning Monday, June 8, 2026.

We have made these wonderful additions and swaps to make classes meet more of your needs and availability.

Mornings in the yoga room welcome Cecilia on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:00a. Pilates has moved to Mondays and Fridays at 9:15a and Saturdays will now be Pilates Fusion at 9:00a

Zumba@ on Wednesdays is being changed and moved to Fridays where we will now be offering Zumba® with Toning at 9;00a.

We are excited to introduce our newest member of the Fitness Pro teaching family, Cecilia. Cecilia will be teaching 3 classes per week in the yoga room. Please join her Tuesday & Thursday mornings at 9:00a for Core & Balance and Strength & Stillness yoga. Evening yogi's can also catch a Strength and Stillness class with Cecilia Tuesday evenings at 6:15p. Cecilia has been teaching yoga for 21 years and we are so blessed to welcome her experience and sweet being into our space. Come take a class with Cecilia in The Studio @ Fitness Pro.

HOW TO: Straight Arm Lat Pulldown 🔥

Want to actually feel your lats working during back day? Add these in.

➡️ Set cable to the highest setting with a straight bar or rope attachment
➡️ Stand tall, slight bend in knees, core tight
➡️ Keep arms mostly straight with a soft bend in the elbows
➡️ Pull the bar down toward your thighs by driving through the lats
➡️ Pause & squeeze at the bottom
➡️ Slowly control the weight back up
