Planning a mount shasta trip, summit at 14,180′.
Any my friends wanna gear up and come with? Gonna be two-there days. Bivy on the mountain, thin air, have to acclimate, crampons and ice axe needed.. I have some extra stuff if you need. Looking like April.

Finally found a frame that will hold my 1953 issue of Life with Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay, the first ascent of Mt Everest. Life wrote Norgays name wrong on the cover. And the delivery lable I left on, removing it might damage the cover. Planning a Mt Shasta climb soon, only like 14,180′ ft. Everest is 29,032′ but it's a good Alpine style mountaineering climb it's like these guys built a skyscraper and I'm making a birdhouse in shop : / and it sucks. Hey if I were rich I could afford everest too. Not that I'd want to add to the trash up there. WealthyTourist have ruined that place.

Going through some miscilanious extras with my son Cody, then we watched the dawn wall with Tommy Caldwell. Cody is showing me how cams work : ) the boys keep asking to go climbing. don't worrie, not using pitons on clean routes. Cams and nuts only. Now that I have vacation time again, we'll have to go when it's dry.

THE RACK, gear we took with us to Jamestown to climb the gold wall. Once we got there we found out we didn't need any of it. Just runners since it's a sport route, with hangers bolted everywhere. Barely got any climbing in, Adam was the only one who wanted to climb. Everyone else just wanted to swim : / gotta keep the kids happy. I wish I had more photos of more climbs, usually you just go. Leave the tourist stuff to the tourist : /

A while back, my girlfriend said how can you tell that guy was a bum? I said from the way he was dressed, she then said.....
" you often dress like a bum" : ) she's right, I do. I often plan ahead to dress down, I like the look of just surviving I guess : / maybe it's a camp 4 look. I'll dress up nice for my funeral ok? It's a definite maybe : )

I found an old photo of my old climbing gear, it's an adiction. Sold the cams and the rope, climbing gear is good to update anyways. I mostly just miss my Yosemite hammer, those are expensive these days : / the mountaineering axe is because I thought I was gonna climb Mt Shasta, I decided to have a stroke instead. Maybe I should get back to my Mt Shasta plan.
Oh yeah, sold my boots and crampons too : /
Oh all this is not for mountaineering, you don't need much for that. I just like trad climbing cracks so yeah, cams, wire nuts and pitons. Lenbob, let's go to Consumines river gorge and pull some cracks, I still have the route guide.

I love the rigging and I'm addicted to the gear. So of course I like Trad climbing but aid climbing fascinates me. Someday I'm gonna take 30 times longer to get up the face but man will it be fun. Is anyone seeing these post.
