The City of Gallup OHV/Mx Park is undergoing renovations thanks to the NM Game and Fish OHV Grant program. Our team is actively engaged in trail grooming, washout remediation, and dirt harvesting from the access road shoulder to repair eroded sections of the motocross track. Furthermore, we have successfully installed a new camera surveillance system and updated signage throughout the park. These enhancements aim to improve safety and the overall riding experience for our patrons. We extend our gratitude to Desi Ortiz and the NM Game and Fish OHV department for their dedication to the OHV industry, as well as Ed Cochrane and Murphy Builders for their exceptional dirt work and Jim N Alejandra Otero for their service in installing the surveillance system. Red Rock Motorsports Club would like to send our condolences to the family and friends of Louis Vandlandingham! A tragic loss to the offloading community, but what a beautiful way to go! May we all be so lucky to die doing what we love! Godspeed Louis!🙏

It was a great weekend of racing, championship victories, and the premier of the NM Jackrabbits club who did an outstanding job. The final results are posted, as well as the final series standings on MotoTally, let us know if you have any questions. A near perfect weekend, but the devastating loss of our dear Louis Vandlandingham certainly over-shadowed any festivities. Lou had what appears to be a heart attack or stroke around the 3 mile mark on the course, and died doing what he loved in this life. This shocking loss hits our NMRC community in the core, Lou was the best of racing/riding buddies, bought his passion of IT to our scoring, and his decades of racing experience to the NMRC Board. We are all still in shock and loss, and will update everyone when arrangements are made. Our deepest sympathies go out to Lou's wife Sandra and all his friends and family.

As offroaders, we have all taken a negative hit because of this incident. When in the forest, always stay on 2-track roads and always leave an area better than how you found it!

A couple that recently tried to enjoy a day in the Lincoln National Forest is demanding action after an unsanctioned off-roading rally.
