That’s it folks. I would like to thank the awesome people who have helped support this humble business I built and have been so passionate about for a while. It is time.
I chose to go out on my own terms. Which is something I am blessed to have been able to do. In this wild world, most things happen to us. I was able to make that choice.
A great deal of the remaining inventory I donated to a local event. It felt right and rather than try to cash out, I went with my gut and gave it to a great organization I am passionate about. It’s been a wild ride and I have come In contact with some of the best people I have had the pleasure of meeting. I accomplished what I set out to do. Make a dent in the commercial fly fishing industry. That dent was not as deep as a boy had dreamed but still a dent.
So, what this means………
My social media (Instagram) will eventually transfer from a business page to a personal page and the page will close soon after. Choose to follow or not, I’m not done doing cool stuff. Just less in the “industry” of fly fishing.
The website will remain for a while, but when I get a chance, I will zero out most the inventory.
I will always help folks and kids get into fly fishing and may still do orders from time to time.
Thanks again for all the love and support. One chapter closes and another one opens.

This small square footage of my home used to develop some serious weight in the fly fishing world. I was devoted, I was obsessed, I was determined to make a dent in an industry that since I have developed a love/ hate relationship with.
Those days of determination seem like a long time ago but were only yesterday.
Funny how that same obsession and determination changes gears like an automatic too smart to let you over rev.
This dude.
This due now owns my attention in this place and all others.

First picture- rolling with all its glory. I came a bit under prepared for ripping glacial water to be successful. It’s a family vacation and I had 1 rod, couples spools of tippet, and literally a bag of flies.
Picture 2- pocket water of a trib to the river.
Picture 3- one of a few dozen wild rainbows from that stream that made this hill running easterner feel at home.
Should have had more boxes and less bags 🤷🏼‍♂️

Most of these pictures are repeats and I stole some from other. Last weekend was exactly what a bunch of America’s heros needed after a 2 year absence. Some of the best people I’ve had the pleasure of calling friends join forces and share the love, art, and mystery of this sport we love. Giving back to those who serve/served by the healing and tranquility only found in the mountains on a trout stream.

Been a couple years. Damn pandemics and stuff. Epic time of year when a bunch of good folk team up in the hill of Pocahontas Co WV to share the love, knowledge, and experience of fly fishing to our American heros. I’ve done some cool s**t in the world of this sport. Nothing tops this weekend. My bags are packed and truck loaded full of educational material. This weekend is about giving back.
I may fish my way to the destination, but after tomorrow it’s all about the VETS and participants.
Take a moment and step outside of whatever you are into and find a way to volunteer.

The disaster before you is the anything box, warm water edition.
Carp, ditch pickles, stripers, small jaws, gills, crappie, and even a couple musky bugs.
I’m digging being a “has been” and doing me. All the while watching folks turn pro after 2 years.
It’s all good. Keep on keepin on.

A while back I got an inquiry about tying some flies with hide, hair, and feathers from a youngsters prized trophies.
Took a while but I finally sat down and made some good use of some beautiful fox squirrel tail fibers and Ohio turkey feathers.

This is the first time in a long time I have enjoyed tying flies.
Back to basics and back to why most of us got in and still in this game.
You covered materials, dad covered the shipping, I’ll cover the labor and return shipping
