Ernie Reyes' World Martial Arts is Gallatin's Largest, oldest and most award-winning martial arts academy, serving families since 1993. Founded in 1993 by Senior Master David Hughes, a 9th-degree Black Belt and original West Coast Demo Team member, ERWMA has been serving Gallatin, Hendersonville and all of Sumner County for over 30 years. Our system combines Taekwondo, Muay Thai Kickboxing, Brazil

ian Jiu-Jitsu, Escrima, MMA Ground Striking, Modern Reality Based Self Defense and traditional weaponry into a complete Mixed Martial Arts curriculum. David has trained under Great Grand Master Ernie Reyes, Sr. and Great Grand Master Tony Thompson since the mid-1970's and was a World Champion in Jiu-Jitsu. He runs the Gallatin school with his wife, Sandy Hughes, an 8th-degree Black Belt and former world ranked competitor. Together they have taught thousands of students and continue to develop leaders on and off the mat. They are carrying forward a legacy that has produced national, world, Olympic and even UFC champions-as well as Hollywood star Ernie Reyes, Jr., known for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
