Southeastern Connecticut Equestrian Team

Southeastern Connecticut Equestrian Team The Southeastern Connecticut Equestrian Team is located at the Mystic Valley Hunt Club in Gales Ferry, CT. Event riders and flat only riders are also welcome.

We welcome riders from area schools, their own back yards, and even other barns that don't have enough riders to form a team. Riders do not need to own their own horse. We have lots of fun, especially showing as a team. Riders show in up to five shows on the host team's horses. Classes are from walk-trot to open eq fences. The season is from September to April, including regional, zone and nationa

This is Deb 😁. So I have tossed this around in my head for a few years but I'm finally letting it out!!!! Drill team is coming to mvhc! I'd like to do two sessions this Saturday for anyone interested! Adults/boarders at 3pm to 4pm and IEA and alumni of IEA 4pm to 5pm. I will need help before and after the 2 hours compacting jumps and then resetting so each group will be apart of some of that. Message me for more specifics, to pick a horse, and to let me know if you want to join us. This could be very fun!

Good morning! Writing this as Deb :) I can't figure out how to post as me now that I am administrator LOL. Anyway, please message me or text me or post here if you can warm up horses for crossrails and flat on saturday at regionals! Please let me know ASAP. Currently I have one signed up. We will ALL be at the show all day tacking, grooming, holding horses and cheering on the team so why not break up the day by getting more experience in the saddle!! Mandatory horse holding necessary but you will already be doing that :o)

Thank you to all of our team members and parents that came out today to help at the tournament show!! We made it work even with being a little light on helpers. And a great learning day for our competitors today! The judge provided a LOT of useful feedback! Saturday is regionals here at MVHC. All horses need to look spiffy and shiny so break out the elbow grease at practice and your lessons to get them ready!! Expecting ALL team members showing or not to be at the show to help. Support your team and teammates! We want to get to zones!
