All GRIT & no Quit! Went 3-1 on the day. 2-0 in pool play and 1-1 in Gold Bracket. These girls battled all day. 11hrs at the ball field with a Runner up finish today. All the coaching staff is so proud of each and every one of them. Thankful for all of these girls that dedicate so much time to play the hardest game there is. We couldn’t do it without our wonderful parents and sponsors!! We are growing so much as a team! No guest players, just grinding to continue to develop. Go Lady Select!!!

This past weekend I (HC), experienced a much needed experience with my team. I saw pieces falling into place, I saw girls that have worked their butts off all season make accomplishments that they probably didn’t think they could (I knew they could), I saw disappointment after a battle of a semi final game that 1 hit or play could’ve been the difference because they gave their all, I saw team GRIT, I seen girls who looked like it was game 1 although I knew they were exhausted after battling the heat all day, I seen the fire in their eyes and desire to win, I seen them bond as a team and support each other thru the ups and downs, I seen them put a smile on their face and say “good game” after a tough loss, and I saw a smile on their face after being told by us coaches that we were proud of them. That’s why we coach. Not for a ring, not for a trophy, not for a banner, but to make a difference! Softball may be one of the hardest games in the world but it sure is fun! We love our girls and their families who support us. Go Lady Select!
