Galax Xtreme Fitness is located in the beautiful tourist town of Galax, VA. We are a small, privately owned fitness studio located in historic downtown that caters to training for what is outside its doors. ess Instructor. She can guide you through a mixture of all the latest styles for an overall functional fitness workout. The studio currently holds several classes from accredited workout styles. The latest addition is YogaBody Yoga Trapeze, which is one of the newest takes on the art of yoga. REFIT and REV+FLOW, two studio standards, are high energy movement classes with uplifting music that is suited for all wellness levels, from beginners to the most experienced athlete. Along with these in-house services, we host a multitude of events to encourage fitness in the Galax and Twin County area. We host community involved activities like the Fiddlin' 4 Fitness 5k, the Matthews State Forest 10 mile / 5k trail run, and the Go with the Flow 5k on the New River Trail in Fries. If you are here just to enjoy the outdoors, we can connect you to walking, hiking, running, and biking the New River Trail, canoeing and kayaking on the New River, hiking and climbing at Grayson Highlands State Park, mountain biking at Matthews State Forest, or touring the Blue Ridge Parkway. We are your epicenter for fun, fitness, and adventure in the Twin Counties!

My heart is so heavy. If you ever met Lawrence Parsons you met passion. When this guy did things, he did them with his whole heart. He became part of our Galax Xtreme Fitness family in 2016. He would drop in to “put in work,” but he never left without leaving us with love. It didn’t matter if we were mid song teach REFIT®, he stopped us to grab his hug on the way out the door. Lawrence quickly became a role model that the kiddos not only looked up to, but looked forward to seeing. He always made time for them. EVERYTIME I saw him whether it was at GXF or Family Dollar getting his protein (a jar of peanut butter) he ALWAYS scooped me up for a big hug. On the days I needed that hug to linger he knew. He was a big, strong man. He played hard, fought hard, but loved harder. This world is going to miss that big, bright smile and the light he brought with it.

Fall 50 with a Friend: Enroll with a Partner

🍁Goal: Walk/Run/Hike 50 miles alongside your partner (together not individually)
🍁When: Sept. 1- Oct. 31st
🍁Price: $50 per team of 2
🍁What’s Included: Accountability/Motivation; Access to Private FB Group; Weekly Check-Ins; 4 planned group hikes (optional, but will be fun)
🍁Rules: You can only submit the miles that the 2 of you have completed together; Miles should be submitted as you complete them through Google Forms; Please post pics of your miles together and encourage others in the FB group
🍁Prizes: The team with the most miles (walked together, not separately) will win a gift certificate to a downtown business
