High school and jr. high fishing team for Galatia and Thompsonville, Il

Galatia Basscats braved the cold and wind for a 2 day ICASST tournament at Lake of Egypt. Holly McCabe and Karson Baird brought in total weight of 11.7 and big bass of 3.4 on Saturday. Brian Gibbs and Mace Ridgeway brought in total weight of 8.13 and big bass of 3.8.
On Sunday McCabe and Baird brought in a big bass of 4.7 and total weight of 11.8
Way to battle Basscats! We are proud of you!!!

What a way to start the season. Wind chill was in teens. The Galatia Basscats hosted a kick off high school tournament.

High School results
1st Duquion Crane 13.11
2nd place Herrin Lattuada/Haub 12.5
3rd Galatia Ridgeway/Gibbs 11.4

Jr High results
1st place Eldorado Hutchison 11.6
2nd place Southern Illinois anglers Johnson 9.6 3rd Galatia Lane and Esdon 8.7

All the Galatia teams brought fish to the scales on this windy day! Didn’t get many pics because it was SO cold.

Galatia Basscats had their Christmas party at Ross Cottom Lanes. We all had a great time! Huge thank you to our coaches for all they do for these kids!

Today was a cool, windy, tough day on the River for Galatia Basscats @ the IBN tournament. Kam Tullis and Parker Betts fished on the Jr High team. They brought home big bass with a weight of 2.82 # and total weight of 7.89 # which earner them 1st place!
High school team of Brian and Mace total weight of 9.30, Cayden brought one fish to the scales with a weight of 1.85, and Hollyn and Karson weighed in 5.94 #
We are so proud of you all!

Another great community event!! The Galatia Basscats spent the evening with some amazing hunters, guide and their families. Thank you United Special Sportsman Alliance for sharing this with us. We enjoyed hearing the stories and serving a great meal! It is always an honor to give back to those who give so much! As always, it’s great to be part or this comminuty and Basscats!

The Basscats fished a MLF Tournament this weekend at Pickwick Lake in Alabama with 34 boats entered. The team of Mace Ridgeway and Brian Gibbs finished in 6th place with 12.08 lbs and the team of Kael Krelo and Cayden Baird finished 15th with 8.08 lbs.
They also had a team in the ICASST circuit at Lake of Egypt this weekend with 54 boats entered. The team of Karson Baird and Hollyn McCabe finished 28th with 6.6 pounds. Way to go, Basscats!

The Basscats competed in the Illinois Bass Nation tournament at Lake of Egypt this weekend. In the junior division, Parker Betts and Kam Tullis finished 6th with a weight of 4.15 pounds. In the high school division, Brian Gibbs and Mace Ridgeway finished 2nd with 14.6 pounds, Hollyn McCabe and Karson Baird finished 8th with 9.99 pounds, and the team of Kael Krelo and Cayden Baird finished 22nd with 7.08 pounds. Congratulations, Basscats!

Kick off for us on the 25/26 high school fishing season. Hollyn and Karson ended up 12th out of 37. Not a bad day at all. Congratulations team!

Basscats team of Hollyn and Karson fished ICASST tournaments at LOE yesterday and today.
They brought 5 fish to the scales both days with a total weight 8.8 yesterday placing 18th of 72 boats.
Mace anf Brian fished jn MLF tournament on KY Lake. They brought 3 bass to the scales with a total weight of 10.1 and placed 11th of 81 boats.
Today Hollyn and Karson were back to LOE and had a total weight of 6.13 #

Galatia Basscats faced a tough day on Lake of Egypt for the Red Bud tournament today. Basscats had 3 teams in the tournament. High school team of Brian Gibbs and Cayden Baird brought 5 fish to scales with big bass of 4.12 and total weight of 12.20. They earned 4th place. JH team of Kam Tullis and Parker Betts brought 5 fish to scales with big bass weight of 1.90 and total weight of 8.19. They earned 2nd place in JH division. JH team of Brielle Richards and Olive Launis weren’t able to bring any keepers to the scales. It was a cold and windy day with rough waters. Congratulations to all teams, especially proud of our Basscats!!!
