October of 2020 is when you became our “Day 1 at Forest Hill.” We didn’t know it at the time, but you ended up being the best player to emerge from that crop of great soon-to-be elite national players.
We coached against you that day but always wanted to coach for you someday. Maybe it took a little longer than we all envisioned but when that call came in 2025, we felt like it was Forest Hill all over again.
Who knew the Puerto Rican would end up being one of our favorite players of all time— and, personally, one of my favorites.
You are respectful even though you miss multiple alarms, you are the funniest kid even though you are grumpy without your Wild Berry Celsius (you gotta give that up by August btw), you are extremely coachable even though you don’t know which way the wind is blowing, you are an excellent driver— especially in London, and you are the greatest communicator ever except when communicating. 🙃🐰
Cheers to you, Caro, on your commitment and I look forward to your Signing Day next month. As we often say, not many players become scholarship Division I student-athletes in Power 4 Conferences— far fewer are as sincere as you off the court too. 💯
“Hoo— Hoo— Hoo— Hoosiers!” 🔴⚪️
