From the Edge of the Swamp… Spring Gobbler Season 2024 is in the books, what a great group of hunters we had in camp. We were blessed with many new friends and added new memories throughout the season. The challenges were many, but most persevered and tagged there gobblers. We left a lot of 2 year olds and mature gobblers in the woods (along with countless jakes) to grow another year… Looking forward to 2025!🙏🏽🌴☀️🦃🙏🏽

From the edge of the Swamp... another season ends while another preseason begins. Our hunters braved the many different conditions the Florida spring woods can throw at you. From wind, rain, cold and heat, they met every morning with enthusiasm while learning new lessons and harvesting some nice gobblers along the way. Congratulations to Tom Thomas, III for harvesting his first Osceola, a whopping 21.2 lb gobbler that turned out to be the heaviest gobbler we’ve killed since the 2018 season! Looking forward to next season and meeting whatever challenges we’re faced with a BANG! In the meantime, Live It Well... CUOutdoors🙏🏼☀️🌴🦃🙏🏼

From the edge of the Swamp... Opening day finally arrived and Dawson Braner took his first Osceola Gobbler that sported an 11” beard and 1 3/8” spurs, qualifying for the Florida Registry! This was Dawson’s first Osceola, what a great second sub-species trophy to add to his credit in his pursuit of his Grand Slam... and what an excellent start to our 2020 season here at APSO Osceola Outfitters!!☀️🌴🦃🙏🏼

From the edge of the swamp... Our hunters have had a successful season so far and we’ve really enjoyed having them in camp. Harold Newcomb killed our largest ever Osceola, weighing in at an astonishing 21.6 lbs! He qualifies as a true limb breaker. We’ve got a lot a mature gobblers that made it through another year so I’m already looking forward to next season. Hope to see you in camp if you’re interested in hunting a trophy Osceola next spring. Until then, be safe, happy hunting and always use protection from ticks.🙏

Update from the swamp: Spring is in the air! And so are the sounds of gobblers announcing their rights of spring. After two weeks of warm weather, the Osceolas in our area are getting cranked up. The winter flocks are busting up and there are even some single gobblers and hen sightings. We have an abundance of 2-year olds which always makes for some exciting hunts, but be patient, we have some tremendous trophy birds (4+ yrs) that should be worth the wait if you can stand it. Looking forward to seeing our 2018 hunters in camp, until then... yelp, yelp, yelp, yelp

From the edge of the swamp: We continue to harvest some really nice trophy Osceolas. They're a little tougher to hunt at this stage of the season but due to the drought, at least the mosquitoes aren't too bad. Let us know if you'd like to come hunt your trophy Osceola gobbler with us, currently booking for the Spring 2018 season.

Opening week in Osceola Country was exceptionally challenging for our hunters this year. APSO Osceola Outfitters teamed up with Larry Ellis of EWA Hunting hosting seven clients from AL, GA and OK. Thru many hours of perseverance and patience, six of seven hunters killed seven gobblers, suffered two misses and numerous "just out of range" encounters. Looking forward to seeing how our remaining hunters fare...

Update from the Swamp: Had another successful weekend as our two hunters from Kentucky battled the elements (over 2" of rain) Saturday morning and both harvested nice gobblers on Sunday. Greg B. had to fend off an aggressive coyote in order to claim his 20.2 lb Osceola bruiser. More hunts to come...
