Just a reminder that Gainesville Dance Center will be CLOSED on Monday, September 7th in observance of Labor Day.

We hope our GDC Ohana enjoys a well-deserved day of rest, relaxation, and time with family and friends! ❤️🤍💙

✨ OUR TEACHING OHANA IS GROWING! ✨

We are so excited to welcome home one of our very own, Ms. Courtney! 💛

Having grown up dancing right here at GDC, Courtney went on to continue her dance education at George Mason University, where she earned her BFA in Dance. Now, her journey is coming full circle as she returns to the studios that helped shape her into the dancer and artist she is today…this time, as a teacher! ✨

We couldn’t be prouder to welcome Ms. Courtney back to our Ohana and have her share her passion, training, and experience with the next generation of GDC dancers. We can’t wait to see the energy she brings into the classroom this season! 🫶

The wait is finally over — our 2026–2027 Dance Season starts TODAY! 💃🕺

We’ve been counting down the days until we could get back in the studio, turn up the music, and dance with our Ohana again. Whether you’ve been part of the GDC family for years or you’re walking through our doors for the very first time, we cannot wait to see your smiling faces, feel your energy, and get back to doing what we love most — dancing, growing, and creating together. 🌺❤️

✨ OUR TEACHING OHANA IS GROWING! ✨

We are so excited to say… welcome home, Ms. Sydney! 🌺❤️

After growing up dancing and teaching right here at GDC, Sydney took her training across the country to California to pursue her dreams as a professional dancer. While on the West Coast, she trained at The Space TV and became a member of Royal Flux, continuing to grow as both a dancer and artist. ✨

Sydney also had the opportunity to assist choreographers including Gianna Martello and Jaclyn Royal with classes and intensives, gaining invaluable experience that she’s now bringing right back to where it all started.

And now… she’s HOME! 🫶

Sydney is back on the East Coast and we could not be more excited to have her return to the GDC teaching team. There’s something incredibly special about watching a dancer grow up within our Ohana, chase her dreams, gain professional experience, and then come home to pour that knowledge into the next generation. ❤️

Welcome back to GDC, Ms. Sydney! We can’t wait to see you back in the studio doing what you love. ✨

We’re so excited to officially welcome Ms. Jackie to the GDC teaching team! ❤️🌺

After 9 years as a competitive dancer, Jackie is bringing her passion for dance into a new role as an instructor! Originally from Northern Virginia, Jackie continued her dance journey at James Madison University, where she spent four years performing as a member of the JMU Dance Team. 💜💛

With years of training, competition, and performance experience, Ms. Jackie is excited to share her energy, knowledge, and love of dance with the next generation of dancers. She can’t wait to help her students grow, build confidence, have FUN, and discover even more reasons to love being in the studio! ✨

We are so excited to have Ms. Jackie joining our GDC Ohana and can’t wait for an amazing season ahead! 🫶

✨ OUR TEACHING OHANA IS GROWING! ✨

We’re so excited to officially welcome Ms. Annie Levitt to the GDC teaching team! ❤️🌺

Annie grew up dancing and trained in a variety of styles, later performing with local contemporary companies. She brings experience teaching ballet, tap, lyrical, and jazz to dancers of all ages - from toddlers to adults!

For Annie, teaching is about so much more than steps. She loves watching dancers grow in their technique, confidence, and love for movement, while helping each student discover their individual strengths and work toward their goals. ✨

And Ms. Annie is already part of our Ohana! As a proud GDC dance mom to two dancers, Annie and her family have experienced firsthand what makes our community so special. We couldn’t be happier to have her step into this new role at GDC! 🫶
