Q1 is in the books.for this weekend,'s F1600 pro race. John Kierce in the #10 Van Diemen leads his teammates Chris Kierce ( #11) and Sam Lockwood ( #70), and will start 9th in this afternoon's heat race at Summit Point. For more details see racefrp.com.

The feature race went really well for us. John Kierce managed to avoid the first lap kerfuffle that brought out a full course yellow, and the officials managed to clear the debris quickly enough to give us our full 16 laps. John managed another solid finish on his first weekend at Mid-Ohio Sports Car course.

The feature race went well for us. John Kierce avoided the multi car kerfuffle that brought out an early caution. The officials cleaned it up quickly enough to give us a full slate of 16 laps. John ended up a solid 14th place. All on all he showed a solid performance in his first trip to Mid-Ohio Sports Car course.

Heat race 2 went very well for us. John Kierce was able to pass 10 cars to end up finishing 12th. We've got a solid starting position for this afternoon's slightly longer feature race.

Heat race 1 in one word: Chaos. Lots of yellow flag laps, some contact, and very few green laps. John Kierce did his job and brought the car back in one piece, which makes our job easy getting ready for heat race 2 tomorrow morning.

It rained heavily at Mid-Ohio last night, so we elected to skip this morning's practice as the track was still wet. Qualifying was still under treacherous conditions, with roughly half the track dry and the half with patches of standing water.

John Kierce persevered in a chaotic session to qualify 21st on the grid for this afternoon's heat race.

Practice day is done, John is doing well learning a new track and the Raceworks-tuned Honda engine is running well on its maiden voyage. One more practice tomorrow morning and then ota qualifying and the first of three races.

This is arguably the best scheudle they've had in a long time, especially for us. If you have a Formula F car and have always wondered what it would be like to run with FRP, this is definitely the year to try it.

Seats available for the 2026 season, we also do pre-race preparation and trackside support for customer cars for FRP, SCCA, and vintage racing.
