Well, this sums up our season.
We headed to Southern Oklahoma Speedway this weekend and showed some of the best consistency we’ve had all season. Starting 7th in the heat race, we were able to work our way forward and bring home a 5th-place finish.
In the A Feature, we rolled off 15th and settled into a good rhythm. The car felt solid, and we were able to move forward and race around some good cars. Unfortunately, with just 3 laps remaining, disaster struck when the engine let go and ended our night early.
The official results don’t tell the whole story. We were running all but the final three laps of the feature, showing consistent speed and continuing to gain valuable experience every time we hit the track.
I want to thank everyone who has supported Konner Hazel Racing this season—my family, friends, fans, and every partner below who has helped me chase this dream. Dirt track racing isn’t cheap, and an engine failure is a tough setback for us.
Right now, I’m honestly not sure what the rest of the season looks like. We’ll assess the damage, figure out what it will take to get back on track, and make a decision from there.
No matter what happens, I’m grateful for every lap, every lesson, and every person who’s been part of this journey.
We’ll keep our heads up and see where the road leads next.
