University of Florida Equestrian Club Welcome to the page for the University of Florida Equestrian Club and Teams! This page is for any cu In fact, many of our members do not show.

The University of Florida Equestrian Club (UFEC) was established in 1985 and is a member of the University of Florida Sports Clubs. The club is dedicated to promoting good horsemanship and sportsmanship. All members share a love of horses and do not have to show in order to be an active member. We participate in fundraisers, volunteer for the community, host horse shows at the university, and listen to guest speakers on equine topics. As a club, we sponsor our three traveling show teams: Hunt Seat, Western, Dressage, and Eventing; they participate in the Inter Collegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA), Intercollegiate Dressage Association (IDA), and United States Eventing Association (USEA).

Yesterday some of our riders attended an awesome clinic with 5* Eventer Ashley Johnson! Our riders worked on their drssage skills, show jumping, and attended a seminar on building rider confidence. We can’t wait to see them bring these skills into the 2026-2027 show season! A huge thank you for coaching, and for our volunteers for helping out!
