AGILITY and PLYOMETRICS. Agility is the ability to quickly and efficiently change direction, speed, position while maintaining body control.
Plyometric exercises train your body to produce force quickly and explosively. Agility and Pylometric training provide several benefits:
Improved balance and stability
Improved coordination
Better body control
Fall risk reduction
Increases explosive power and the rate of force development and enhance athletic performance. Ladder drills are one method we use to integrate agility and plyometrics into our strength and conditioning training. (And they are just fun!)If you want to improve your strength, agility, mobility and balance come check us out at Peak Strength and Fitness

KEEP ON MOVING!! I finished my senior season at University High School (LA, CA) in 1976. Fast forward 50 years -my daughter is entering her senior year in high school and my grandson kindergarten. What has become clear to me is that you have to continue to lift weights while integrating mobility, flexibility and agility into your training. You need to lift weights for muscular endurance, stability, hypertrophy, strength and power. We need mobility & agility training to move efficiently and maintain body control. Resistance training will help you to maintain and increase your lean muscle mass mobility & agility training will help you efficiently in space. So the message is to keep lifting and moving so you can play with and hold your grandkids in your arms.
