Heather Young is a Professional Horse Show Judge, Professional Horse Trainer, Personal Performance Coach, Clinician, and Equine Consultant residing in Gainesville, TX. Beginning in early childhood and continuing through college, she helped market and show many of her familyโs horses. Growing up in South Texas on a large working cattle ranch, Heather assisted her family with all aspects of raising cattle and horses. Heather has competed in nearly every horse show event offered including halter, showmanship, western pleasure, reining, horsemanship, english equitation, working cow horse, roping, cutting, western dressage, and all the versatility ranch horse events. Heather has judged and conducted clinics throughout the United States, Mexico, and Australia. Heather holds judgeโs cards with APHA, ApHC, WRHA, NSBA, ASHA, GVHS. Heather and her customers have been very successful in the AQHA and APHA arenas. Heather has been in the top 3 at the AQHA and APHA world shows numerous times. Heather has trained/ coached numerous World, Reserve World, and top 5 exhibitors. Heather has trained/coached 6 year-end national all-around ranch horse champions with APHA. At the age of 16 Heather won her first World Championship in the PHBA open Working Cow Horse! Today, Heather continues to train and show versatility ranch horses. At the same time, she is expanding her education business by continually providing new online and live informational training for ranch horse enthusiasts. Heather received a bachelorโs degree from Texas Tech University majoring in English with a minor in History.
