State Attorney Brian Kramer has notified Alachua County that he will not prosecute violations of the County's waiting period for purchasing fi****ms because of an agreement that is pending in a United States District Court.

Here we are in June...not sure how that happened!? Next match at Shoot GTR is the June 28 Mini-Match. Three stages, 3 squads. (We might make it 4 and 4 if interest is high enough.)
Stage 1 will honor D-Day, and shooters will get one 8-round clip to shoot in my M1 Garand...ping!!
Registration opens June 12, and slots will be limited.

Congratulations to our own Firefighter/EMT Kyle Livingston, today's News/Talk 97.3 THE SKY Valor Award Honoree.

Livingston joined the High Springs Fire Department in 2024. He brings over 15 years of experience in emergency services. Before that, he proudly served as a Military Police Officer in the United States Army.

Why is Livingston being honored:

Since joining the High Springs Fire Department, Firefighter/EMT Livingston has been instrumental in creating innovative aptitude tests for new hires. He has taken on various roles, including Community Risk Reduction Coordinator, certified Child Passenger Safety Technician, and Helmet Fitter. And he has taken the initiative to establish the city’s Narcan distribution program.

Livingston’s dedication to risk reduction and education, combined with his responsibilities as a Firefighter and EMT, plays a vital role in protecting the High Springs community and saving lives.

For his professionalism and extraordinary initiative, the High Springs Fire Department and 97.3 The SKY are proud to salute the dedication of Firefighter/EMT Kyle Livingston, today’s SKY Valor honoree.

In this month’s Range Master Minute, Bill Quirk discusses an important reminder for everyone on the range: Don’t Touch People’s Stuff.

As our range continues to grow and host multiple organizations, matches, and competitions, equipment and gear may be staged at different locations throughout the property. Recently, there have been several situations where members unknowingly handled or used items that belonged to someone else, assuming they were available to shoot or use.

Bill explains why respecting other shooters’ equipment is critical for safety, organization, and maintaining a positive environment for everyone who uses the facility.
