Makos Aquatics Club of Gainesville "Building Champions in Life Through Excellence in Swimming" We are a year round age group swim team for ages 4 & up in Gainesville, Florida.

We focus on all ability levels of swimmers from the basic swimming skills to the advanced athlete. Our coaching staff is highly trained and professionally certified and background checked coaching members of USA Swimming.

The Makos had an incredible showing at the 2026 Sunshine State Games, with Jack C. earning Open Boys High Point Champion, Findley C. taking 10U Girls High Point Runner-Up, and Lucas N. grabbing 10U Boys High Point Runner-Up. Throw in a flood of best times, new FLAGS and Senior cuts, and unforgettable first-time swims, and this was a meet to remember! 🦈 🏆️

We also want to give a massive thank you to every volunteer who showed up and made this meet possible. Your dedication does not go unnoticed, and we are so grateful!

So proud of everyone who competed, cheered, and gave their all this weekend!
