🥎 PONY International Softball World Series FINAL 4: THE ULTIMATE COMEBACK FOR Batties 10U! 🥎
Huge congratulations to the Batties 10U softball team from South Central Texas for an unforgettable, historic performance at the PONY International Girls Softball World Series in McAllen, Texas! Out of 36 teams traveling from all over the world, our girls fought all the way to the Final 4! 🌎✨ Many of the Batties players are reppin Rico Gloves and we thank them for that !
This 4-day, 10-game tournament showcased true heart, offensive fire power, and incredible teamwork:
The Record: A stellar 8 wins and 2 losses overall. Both tournament losses were by just 1 single run.
The Ultimate Comeback: After dropping an early bracket game to a tough team from Sonora, Mexico—Las Buhitas (Little Owls)—the Batties caught fire. In true double-elimination fashion, the Batties tore back through the bracket and knocked out the exact team that gave them the first loss! 💥🔥🦉
Total Team Offense: The bats were alive all week, and it was a complete team effort! From the top of the lineup all the way down to the bottom, every single player produced and kept the fans and parents wildly entertained. 🥎💪
The Dynamic Batteries (Pitchers & Catchers): A massive shout-out to our incredible pitching staff: Nay Nay Martinez, Maléna Maddi, Madelyn Keller, and Khloe Urrabazo, and our rock-solid catchers holding it down behind the plate: Brae Adame, Madelyn Keller, Mia Urrabazo, LeeLou Garza, and Eva Bonilla. They locked it down all weekend and put on a defensive clinic—holding a powerhouse like Athletics Mercado Garza to a scoreless 0-0 duel until the 4th inning!
The Finale Battle: We never stopped threatening! We put runners on base in several innings and kept the pressure dialed all the way up, but we just couldn't get them across the plate, ultimately running out of time in a tight 1-0 finish.
Watching these 13 girls get together and completely hit their peak stride in Games 9 and 10 was beautiful. Heads high, Batties! You proved you belong on the world stage! ⚡🏆📋
