Elliott Point Elementary Archery Team

We have another state tournament appearance in the books for Elliott Point. Our team had its highest team score to date and 7 archers with personal best scores. We finished off the tournament placing 7th in the State for Elementary division. This team consisted mainly of archers who had never shot a bow at the start of the season, with only 5 of our archers being returners from last season. What they all accomplished this season is nothing to hang their heads low about.

Although we fell short of qualifying as team for Nationals this year, this young team never gave up, grew tremendously throughout the season, showed grit, and determination and we could not be any more proud of what they accomplished.

We would like to Congratulate Owen F. for placing 6th in the Elementary Boys division, earning a bid to Nationals to compete as an individual. Way to go Eagles!

Tournament #2 is complete and our archers came out more confident than the last tournament and we had several personal best scores recorded. Great Job Eagles!

Having a little fun at practice while also working on point of aim. Archers quickly realized if they aimed at the balloons, they typically missed, but shifting point if aim to another location would get them where they needed to be to pop that balloon.
